Sleep Medicine and Surgery Fellowship

The course is intended for otorhinolaryngologists, with a maximum of 3 participants per year.

January – December. Participation is allowed for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 12 months at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation.

A significant component of the training program is dedicated to advanced simulation activities conducted at the Simulation Center of the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. These activities are designed to enhance and refine clinical and surgical skills within a controlled, high-fidelity environment, allowing participants to train on simulated clinical scenarios, anatomical models, and dedicated surgical simulators.

In particular, simulation-based training includes:

• simulation of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to sleep breathing disorders;
• hands-on training in office-based surgical techniques and upper airway procedures;
• simulation of intraoperative and postoperative complication management;
• multidisciplinary team-based training in complex clinical scenarios.

Simulation activities represent a core element of the educational program, supporting the progressive acquisition of practical skills while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Participation fees are structured according to the duration of attendance:

• Short-term attendance (3 months): €800 per week + VAT
• Medium-term attendance (3–6 months): €15,000 + VAT
• Long-term attendance (12 months): €30,000 + VAT

At the end of the training program, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance issued by the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
