The National CINI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Ital-IA, together with the National PhD Program in Artificial Intelligence and the Summer School on Artificial Intelligence in Health and Life, aims to strengthen and integrate advanced education, scientific research, and strategic vision in the field of AI in Italy.
The objective is to foster structured dialogue among universities, research institutions, industry, and public bodies, promoting the growth of a cohesive and multidisciplinary national community. Through immersive training activities, opportunities for scientific exchange, and strategic vision sessions, the initiative seeks to educate new generations of researchers and professionals capable of operating in complex contexts and contributing to the responsible development of artificial intelligence, with particular attention to applications in health and life sciences. The integration of the conference, the doctoral program, and the summer school is also intended to stimulate collaborations, enhance human capital, and outline future trajectories for the national AI ecosystem.
Target Audience: the course is specifically designed for PhD students, researchers, and professionals working in the field of artificial intelligence applied to life sciences and healthcare.
Admission Requirements: no specific academic degree is required to enroll in the course, making it accessible to a broad range of participants interested in this field. However, a basic background in life sciences or computer science is recommended to ensure a productive and in-depth learning experience.
Maximum Number of Participants: the course is limited to a maximum of 100 participants in order to ensure a high-quality educational experience and to foster interaction between instructors and attendees.

Three days dedicated to advanced training, including:
• lectures and talks by experts
• applied sessions and use cases
• interactive activities and networking opportunities
18–19 June 2025: Ital-IA 2026 Conference – Cu.Bo. Building, Via Regdo Scodro, 42, Rome
In close connection with the Summer School, the National Conference will take place with:
• 18 June: thematic workshops and a session dedicated to the National PhD Program in Artificial Intelligence. In particular, in continuity with previous editions, the following workshops are planned:
o Responsible and Trustworthy AI
o AI for Sustainability
o AI for Public Administration
o AI for Medicine and Healthcare
o AI for Industry
o AI for Cybersecurity
o AI for Robotics
o Generative AI
o AI, Misinformation and Disinformation
o Quantum AI (new workshop)
o The National PhD Program in Artificial Intelligence: perspectives and contributions from the five pillars (new workshop)
• 19 June (morning): plenary session featuring visionary talks on the future of artificial intelligence.
The partial overlap between the Summer School and the conference allows participants to benefit from a continuous dialogue between learning, research, and engagement with the national community.
Standard Registration Fee: €600. This fee includes access to all sessions, lunches, and Summer School materials.
Discounted Fee: €150. Students currently enrolled at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome (UCBM) or in the National PhD Program in the Health and Life Sciences area, but not belonging to the XLI cycle, are eligible for a reduced registration fee. Lunches are not included.
Special Student Exemption: Students enrolled in the XLI cycle of the National PhD Program in the Health and Life Sciences area are entitled to free registration. Lunches are not included.
Participation in the course includes the issuance of a certificate of participation from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
